Devoted DPC was created from a simple belief: healthcare should be about the patient, not the insurance company.

After practicing in the traditional insurance-based system, Dr. Turner became increasingly frustrated with how much influence insurance companies had over the way she cared for her patients. Between coverage restrictions, prior authorizations, billing requirements, and reimbursement rules, too much time and energy was being spent navigating insurance instead of focusing on the person sitting in the exam room.

The traditional model also puts tremendous pressure on primary care practices to see more patients in less time. Short appointments and packed schedules may make the insurance model work financially, but they don’t always allow for the kind of thoughtful, personal care Dr. Turner wanted to provide.

That frustration became the inspiration for Devoted DPC.

By removing insurance from routine primary care and using a simple membership model, Devoted DPC gives our providers the freedom to spend more time with patients, build meaningful relationships, and make medical decisions based on what is best for the individual, not what an insurance company dictates.
